Nemesis（メネシス）は復讐の女神で、天罰を加える人であり、勝てない相手という意味なので、この場合魔族に対して天罰を加えるような勝てない相手ってことで、伝説の勇者っていうことにしてみたけどもいいのかな？うーんちょっとわからないです。。

spitting image が「瓜二つ」の意味になるのは、「唾を吐く」（動詞spilt）仕草も同じくらい、二人は「そっくり」と言うこと。

みたいです。いろいろ諸説あるみたいですが、慣用的な表現です。
