勇者の母親とドラン

天空城に、勇者の本当の母親ではないかと思われる人物が居ます。

「Many years ago, a young angel did descend from Zenithia and fell in love with a human woodcutter.

「The woodcutter was struck down by a bolt of lightning and the grief-stricken angel was returned to Zenithia.
「きこりは、稲妻により倒れました。そして、悲しみにうちひしがれた天空人は、天空城に戻りました。

「Woebegone, she could not put from her mind the memory of the child she was forced to leave behind.

特に母親と名乗っているわけではないですが、天空の慣わしにより名乗れないのかもしれません。
他にも母親ではないか？と思わせるせりふもあったりします。

果たして母親なのかは定かではないですが、本当の母親である可能性は高そうです。

一方、ブランカの城（夜）の湖で月を眺めている爺の話を聞いてみると、

「Watching the moon reflected in the lake like that reminds me of my younger years.
「こういう湖に映る月を見ているとわしの若いころを思い出す。

「A long time ago now, there used to be a father and son living in the northern forest.
「Both of them woodcutters, they were.
「その昔、北の森に父と息子が住んでおった。
「二人はきこりだった。

「The son met a beautiful girl in the forest one day, and two of them fell in love and were married.
「ある日森の中で、息子は美しい少女に出会い、2人は恋に落ち、結婚をした。

「But then, one day, he was killed outright by a bolt of lightning.
「ところが、ある日彼は稲妻よって即死した。

「The father still lives there, though.

「And still chopping wood, so I hear.
「父はまだそこに住んでいるが、
「一人ぼっち。
「まだ薪割りをしていると聞いている。

ブランカにいるじじいと母親（？）の話を聞く限り、勇者の本当の父親と思われるきこりは、山奥の村にいる愛想の悪いきこりの息子で、そこにある墓が本当の父親の墓ではないかと推測されます。

なんとも悲しい話です。

悲しい話はさておき、次は天空城の教会のある部屋にて。

助けたルーシアにも話しかけます。

「Oh, my friends! See how you have helped me!
「I have returned to my duties watching over the pups.
「おお、友よ！助けていただきました！
「私はこの子達の世話する義務に戻りました。

「旅のお供に、スパーキーを差し上げます。
「彼は本当にあなた達の助けになります。
